The first step in your Pilates education
Our online Pilates matwork teacher training course take you through 150 hours of our pilates party! Just so you know whats involved lets take a quick look.
- 25 hours of pre-course pilates classes
- 30 contact hours delivered in the studio (for the face to face course) or online.
- 30 hours of foundational theory self-study via our online student portal.
- 10 observation hours in studio or online.
- 30 hours self mastery of the repertoire in a Mat Pilates setting.
- 30 hours of instructing/teaching in a Mat Pilates setting
- Assessment (1 online quiz and 1 practical assessment)
Course total: 100 hours
Build upon your matwork knowledge and learn the reformer repertoire
Your Body Athletica Reformer Teacher Training consists of the following:
- 25 hours pre course Reformer Class participation prior to enrolling.
- 10 hours observation via attending reformer classes either online or in person at a studio near you.
- 30 hours self paced study of the online modules, exercise videos and manual review.
- 30 hours self mastery practice.
- 30 hours practical instructing/teaching in a reformer Pilates setting.
- Online quiz assessment.
- 1 practical teaching assessment submitted either face to face or via video submission or zoom.
Total course: 100 hours
Bundle both courses and be ready to teach Mat and Reformer.
Master both Matwork and Reformer as you complete 200 hours of study and hands on practice to gain certification in both Mat and Reformer instructing.

Where is the training held?
We have partnered with Movement Pilates to bring you our internationally sought after training. Their state of the art Reformer studio is located in Ellerslie New Zealand and has 10 Allegro 2 reformers to learn on.
Do you offer payment plans?
We want to ensure our training is easily accessible to anyone who loves Pilates and wants to become an instructor. We offer payment plans and other Buy Now Pay Later payment methods.
- Certificates are not issues until payment is completed in full.
